Rare Photo Of Billy the Kid
Randy Guijarro had been going through boxes of photos at a curio shop when he stumbled upon old images sold at $1 per piece. There was a gentleman in the images that looked familiar to him. It turned out that his intuition had been correct. The man in the photo was none other than Billy, the Kid! Born William H. Bonney, the historical figure was an outlaw wanted for several crimes. He was among the most notorious figures of the old West. The gunfighter met his end at the age of 21 and left behind a legacy. The photos are scarce, which explains why it was worth a cool $5 million.
1823 Edition of the Declaration of Independence
Michael Sparks, a music technician, had no idea that he bought the bonafide original copy of the Declaration of Independence. He paid $2.48 for it at a thrift shop. After taking a close look at it, he saw that it came with an engraving and a mark saying 1823. President John Quincy Adams ordered only 200 copies of the Declaration of Independence in 1820. Three years later, they were printed by William Stone. It is believed that there are 35 of them remain to this day. What makes this one worth $477,650 is how well it has been preserved since it was shellacked and varnished. Of course, the only one engrossed and signed is found in the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
