Interestingly, the most challenging part of the entire project ended up being the transportation of the airplane from Athens to Oregon. The arrangement and delivery of the airplane, along with several other project details, set him back by yet another $120,000. At this point, he had already spent $220,000 on the project. Regardless, Bruce Campbell was sure that he would be able to get the bang for his buck in numerous ways. In fact, he got his money’s worth in more ways than he expected.

He was an industrious man so it comes as no surprise that he was thrilled to begin working on the project. Not only was it a new undertaking, but it was also a large one in more ways than one! Before anything else, however, he needed to take the Boeing into his backyard. The task at hand required the deconstruction of the wings so that it would be easier to move to the secluded Oregon forest.
