At that point, Bruce was already in the middle of setting his plan of a freight van home into motion. However, he started to find the idea of using a huge plane more appealing than his original plan. Among other things, he thought that it would be a lot more fun and he was against the idea of scraping airplanes for metal. Luckily, he had no problem when it came to space as his land was 10 acres in size! The next issue now is coming up with the money to buy and deliver a plane to his backyard.

Purchasing An Airliner
In 1999, Bruce Campbell bought himself a Boeing 727 jetliner. He got it for $100,000 courtesy of Olympic Airways, an airline based in Greece. After acquiring the airplane, the next task was to take the huge aircraft to his neck of the woods.
