Bret Bair was born in New Jersey. He is the host of Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox. He was a White House correspondent and a Pentagon correspondent in the past. The DePauw University alumnus substituted for Brit Hume in 2007 after he served as a WHC during the Bush administration. He is close to George W. Born in Mississippi Shepard “Shep” Smith went to the Ole Miss. He hosted The Fox Report and Studio B in the evening before he got transferred to the 3 PM time slot. The ratings were consistent with the others despite the inconvenient time slot. He first reported in Panama City and Fort Myers.
