As it turns out, there are many odd stories like this involving EasyJet. One claims that on a Malaga-Bristol flight, 29 passengers were not boarded because the airline forgot. Still waiting to board, the passengers were very much surprised when they were notified their plane had taken off.

When the plane took off, the luggage of the said passengers was in the hold. 58-year-old Lain Locke, one the 29, said the group got “trapped” in the corridor leading to the boarding gate. He recalled, “The stairwell was full, and people were getting on the plane, but then boarding seemed to stop.”
