Mel Brooks is an actress, comedian, producer, and composer who has worked in various roles. After serving in the US Army during WWII, he started his career as a comedian in the 1940s. As he grew in popularity, he expanded his career to include directing as well as filming. Brooks is one of Hollywood’s few EGOT winners, having earned at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award during his illustrious career. Brooks was, astonishingly, one of the most famous directors in the 1970s.

Belafonte is considered an expert as a singer and a political activist. Though he no longer sings, he is still very interested in politics. He also dabbled in acting for a while, appearing in films like Bright Road and Carmen Jones. In his musical career, he recorded in various genres, including gospel, blues, folk, and show tunes, winning three Grammy Awards in the process.
