After quite some time, it is not surprising that Hoffa was named as the president of Teamsters, even though there was corrupt dealing that he made and an ongoing criminal investigation that wound up costing this particular union in the much greater AFL-CIO federation of unions. But still, Jimmy Hoffa was reelected by the loyal people that served up to him. And eventually, he reunited under the National Master Freight Agreement all the truck drivers who are located in North America.

Sentenced To Jail
After all the withdrawn trust that he gained from his people, it is still not enough to save him from going behind the bars. Whereas, in 1967, Hoffa was sentenced to serve 13 years in prison with the accumulated charges; fraud, bribery, and conspiracy. Even behind the given circumstances, Hoffa still tried to take control of the teamsters behind his bars. But then, a man named Frank Fitzsimmons, known to be Hoffa’s successor, cut off all contacts that Hoffa might be able to reach when he is inside the jail.
