False Teeth
While finding false teeth in sewers and drains is fairly common, it’s still unclear how many sets of dentures end up in sewers. Furthermore, one utility company launched a service to track down the owners of all the dentures discovered. Any false teeth discovered in Severn Trent’s sewers will now be photographed and posted online. Anyone who misplaces them will be able to locate them and contact the company to have them returned.

Cows
Cows are, in our opinion, the most perplexing of all the animals found in sewers and drains. In China, a cow was discovered in a sewer after its farmer spent four days looking for it. It was only discovered after a farmer heard a strange mooing noise from beneath the village. The missing cow poked its head up when the maintenance hole cover was removed. Although it was quickly rescued, no one knows how it came to be there in the first place.
