Figuring out a healthy breakfast to eat each morning before work can be difficult due to a lack of time. Making a whole nutritional breakfast while in a rush is pretty unrealistic, which leads us to either skip breakfast altogether or just grab anything in sight. This isn’t a great habit to get into since breakfast fuels you and keeps your energy levels going throughout the day. If you just grab any food such as a granola bar or have a bowl of cereal, you won’t feel full for long, and the high amount of sugar can cause you to crash rather quickly. To help you solve this predicament, we found a perfect on-the-go breakfast recipe that has loads of nutritional benefits. An apple and peanut butter smoothie is the answer. It takes no more than a few minutes to make and it’s creamy, delicious, and will keep you full.
Apple Health Benefits
As the age-old saying goes, ‘an apple a day will keep the doctor away’. Apples are, in fact, very healthy. They are rich in antioxidants that are anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-cancer. Their high level of fiber helps the digestion as well as keeping the blood sugar levels low.
Peanut Butter Health Benefits
While it is generally known that natural peanut butter is high in protein, it actually has more benefits than just that. Not only is it high in protein, but peanut butter is low in carbs, high in healthy fats, has vitamins E, B3, B6, as well as magnesium, copper, folate, and manganese. To top it off, this delicious spread is also rich in antioxidants!
In addition to these nutritious components, the rest of the ingredients of this yummy smoothie all have incredible health benefits, making it the perfect way to start off your day.
